Hello Byggnad

Yesterday we had a fire drill here at byggnad. Yesterday was also the day 15 years ago that the big fire at Backa that killed 60 people happened. So with that in mind I would like you to remember to take every fire alarm, drill or not, as if it was a real fire. Otherwise the alarm will become somewhat like “crying wolf”.

So next time I would like all of you to:

1. Leave your seat immediately. If you are by your computer then just lock it, take your jacket and leave. If you are in a conference room, just leave through the nearest exit. This should take no more than 30s.
2. Do not enter the building again while the alarm sounds. Do not go back until someone (preferably in yellow vest, fireman or security guard) has told you it’s ok.

So examples of things that are not ok are finishing your email, fiddeling with your bag, looking for your phone, going to the bathroom or remembering you forgot something and go back when you are already out.

Det första jag får höra efteråt (från killen som när jag kommer in i rummet där han sitter och vill typ fråga nåt brukar säga till mig att jag ska le mer som första kommentar. Sen när skulle de säga nåt sånt till en kille? Jag bara undrar.) är att jag lät bitter i mailet.

Nästa gång tar jag med en rökgranat, kastar den och skriker "fire in the hole" och springer därifrån.
